Access statement for PRETORIA VILLA Bed and Breakfast
INTRODUCTION
We aim to cater for the needs of visitors to our home based three bed roomed bed and breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will do our utmost to help.
PREARRIVAL
Local transport is limited but there is a bus service from Stroud to Eastcombe every
hour during the week and on Saturdays, but no service on Sundays.
There is also a Train Station in Stroud.
We could pick up guests from either the Bus or Train Station by prior arrangement or
give local taxi numbers.
Brochures, village maps and menus can be provided by prior arrangement.
ARRIVAL AND CAR PARKING FACILITIES
We are down a quiet lane, off of the main village road.
Take the lane at the bottom of the village green (lane with the Red Telephone Box) proceed down this lane for approx 200yds until you reach a small cross roads, take the first sharp turning right, carry on for approx. 300yds and we are on the right hand side. The drive is a slight up hill slope (paved)
No marked parking bays but room for two cars plus a third car can be parked in front of the garage.
Path area to the Front Door (l8mtrs) is level and paved. We can assist guests with luggage.
MAIN ENTRANCE
Front door is 90cm wide with a step of 7cm.
On entry to our home there is a hallway 127cm x 177cm.
The floor has ceramic tiles.
There is a door to the left leading to the Lounge and Dining Room.
The main staircase is straight ahead with 11 risers of 20cm height with a hand rail on the
right hand side.
All bedrooms are on the first floor accessed by the main staircase.
Landing area at the top of the stairs 94cm x 13 5cm.
Door on the left to Double Room (step up of 16cm) with an en-suite shower room.
Door facing (same level as landing) Twin Room with an en-suite shower room.
Door to the right after a step up of 16cm and landing area of 87cm x 89cm, Deluxe Twin
Room with a large en-suite bathroom accessed by a step down of 16cm.
LOUNGE AND DINING ROOM
Area of 406cm x 424cm with two, two-seater sofas and an arm chair.
Television
Access through to Dining Room 310cm x 500cm.
Furniture is flexible and can be moved on request.
Dining table 91cm x 198cm, height of 31cm with legs on each corner.
Chairs can be moved to accommodate.
Menus provided
We do not play background music in any areas of the B & B.
LAUNDRY
Use of utility area, please ask.
SHOP
Excellent shop and Post Office in Eastcombe Village.
OUT DOOR FACITITIES
Use of Garden area to the front of the house.
Large lawn area with table and chairs plus seating area directly outside Front door.
BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1 (Double)
Door width 78cm, en-suite door width 61cm.
Double bed, 137cm wide, height 5 1cm.
Clear areas of 110cm to the left, 76cm to the right and 96cm at the bottom of the bed.
One easy chair.
Tea and coffee making facilities on table 54cm high.
Fitted carpet.
Shower-room en-suite, shower door width 61cm, free space clear of door 65cm x 110cm
The shower cubicle 74cm x 74cm, has a step into of 11cm, controls are on the left wall.
The basin which is enclosed in a vanity unit has a curved front and is 85cm high.
The toilet is 40cm high and 76cm clear space to the right.
Bedroom 2 (Twin)
Door width 74cm, en-suite door 67cm.
Twin Beds 91cm wide, height 60cm, can be made into a double bed.
Clear areas of 94cm to left, 160cm to the right and 94cm to the bottom of the beds.
Easy chair
Fitted short pile carpet, plus tea and coffee making facilities on a table 73cm high.
En-suite shower room, shower door width 58cm, free space clear of door 116cm x
140cm.
The shower cubicle 74cm x 74cm has a step into of 18cm, controls on the right hand
wall.
Pedestal Basin 78cm high with a curved front.
Toilet is 41cm high with 24cm free space either side.
Bedroom 3 (Twin)
Door width 68cm.
Twin beds 91cm wide, 60cm high, can be made into a double bed.
Clear areas of 112cm to left and 94 cm to the bottom of the beds.
Easy chair.
Fitted short pile carpet.
Tea and coffee making facilities on a table 66cm high. Step down to en-suite bathroom of 16cm.
En-suite door 76cm wide, clear space of 158cm x 145cm.
Bath/Shower 136cm x 61cm, step into height of 55cm. The bath has a seat area if using as a shower with a shower door within the bath which has a width of 70cm.
The toilet 42cm high is incorporated within a shelving area with two built in basins these having curved fronts and 84cm high.
GROUNDS AND GARDENS
We have large private gardens surrounding the house.
The front area which is for guests is very private and not overlooked. There are various
flower borders and pot plants.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Sorry no dogs allowed.
There is a mobile reception but regret it is only Vodafone. Guests are welcome to use our land line.
We are able to use the Front and Dining room door in need of evacuation. We will alert resident personally if an evacuation is needed.
There is an alarm bell provided on the upstairs landing but if guests require one for their rooms please let us know along with any other special requirements at the time of booking.
We are a no smoking building.
Smoking is allowed in the garden.
We can accept small items of food/medication for storage in our fridge by arrangement.
